Kirk OlsenKirk Olsen joined DP Partners in 2002 and is currently the Partner-Northwest Region, based in Portland, Oregon. He is responsible for all land and building acquisitions, build-to-suit projects, development activities, and asset management in the northwest. This includes the LogistiCourt at Portal Way, a 265,000 SF multi-tenant industrial project completed in April 2008. Additionally, Olsen leads the company's third-party property management division in the northwest.
Prior to relocating to Portland in 2007, Olsen worked in the company's headquarters as a Business Development and Leasing Manager. In these roles he was accountable for national new business development and corporate account management. Olsen led the team responsible for implementing a comprehensive program that enabled DP Partners to expand its development platform throughout the nation. Olsen has negotiated over 125 lease transactions for DP and led the company's build-to-suit proposal process for the western region. He also managed sales transactions of buildings and land, including a 300,000 SF property disposition in Atlanta.
Prior to joining DP Partners, Olsen's broad experience included several managerial positions within the software industry in California where he specialized in logistics management. He was also previously employed by International Paper in Tennessee, and worked as a geologist for an environmental consulting company in Virginia.
Olsen holds an MBA from Vanderbilt University Management in Nashville, Tennessee and a BA degree from Washington and Lee University, a liberal arts college in Lexington, Virginia, where he was a NCAA lacrosse athlete.
A native of Baltimore, Maryland, he and his family enjoy exploring Oregon's mountains and coastline through hiking, fishing, and skiing. Olsen is an active member of the community and of various real estate organizations. He is a Board Member of the Dermody Properties Foundation and a Board Member of the local chapter of NAIOP, the National Commercial and Real Estate Development Association.
